1st Birthday Celebration!
It's hard to believe today is Sam's first birthday!
The year has gone by quick as I knew it would.
Of course I keep replaying through my head what I was doing exactly a year ago today as I waited and waited for his arrival.
I was truly convinced he was never going to come!
And now here we are...celebrating this kids first birthday.
We celebrated with family and friends last weekend and I thought I would share some photos.
The rough theme I went for was deer and buffalo plaid red.
I wanted to do a "52 weeks of Sam" wall and was so pleased with these little polaroid pictures I ordered from Square Snaps
They ship from London!
But I was able to order them and receive them in 3 days for a really good price.
Being that it is December which means most likely rain, we decided on a cozy menu of soups, mini grilled cheese and a coco bar.
I also wanted to keep it simple and not spend hours cooking extravagant food.
Not to mention Sam is a huge fan of soups!
We had Carrot & Fennel, Broccoli & Cheese, and Tomato Basil.
For sandwiches...grilled cheddar cheese and Apple, Fig and Beechers Cheese
For dessert I made a healthy-ish cake for Sam to dive into that I found on this website
I frosted it with cool whip which was his favorite part!
For the rest of us...Applesauce Cake cupcakes with frosting.
I found the cute buffalo plaid cupcake holders on etsy!
For favors, deer shaped sugar cookies!
I found the deer head cookie cutter from etsy as well.
I think he had a pretty fun time!
Happy Birthday my sweet, happy boy!

Good morning!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
Thanksgiving is just a few short weeks away!!
Family gatherings and cooking yummy dishes...oh what a fun time of year this is!
I thought this would be the perfect time of year to do an apron giveaway.
This is one of my original aprons and I love it so much because of the simplicity...
Neutral linen paired with antique white vintage French fabric.
The perfect apron for any season.

Hello November!
Where has the time gone!?
I actually have found myself forgetting that we have already gone through
all of Summer and most of Fall and that it still isn't May.
But I am not complaining...
It is the best time of the year!
Family, coziness, boots and sweaters, delicious food...doesn't get much better!
I'm jumping right back in to blogging with my ultimate "fall meal"'s my favorite!
It's the perfect ratio of pie crust to creaminess and will not
disappoint the urge for a comfort meal!
You can of course put in any veggies you want and cater it to what you like.
(I suggest making the dough ahead of time, cutting up the veggies and maybe even cooking/dicing the chicken up. I did this a day or two before and it was great!)
The particular pie crust in the recipe makes a top and bottom so every time I have made the pie, I also make this delicious apple pie crisp.
Man oh man it's so good and super easy.
I didn't get an "after" photo because it was gobbled up too quick!
Pie overload.
I hope everyone had a wonderful end to October and a fun Halloween with lots of candy!

Learning to Adapt
I hope everyone is having a great week!
We spent labor day up at the hood canal..soaking up the last little bit of Summer...
I can't wait to share more pictures of the most beautiful beach bungalow...
My parents have just about finished renovating it and it's a real life fixer upper!
I'll share plenty more in a later post.
It's been a productive week of getting orders out from the Seattle Gift Show and also watching sweet little Sam move and move and stand and speed crawl.
I swear I turn my head for 2 seconds and next thing I know he is at the other side of the room!!
I continue to figure out how to manage being a mom and keeping my business moving forward. People make it look so easy!
Every day is a new challenge.
But I think the best way to get through each day is focus on that
particular moment and try not to stress on what the next day will hold.
Today, going to Starbucks and getting work done, while my foot moves the stroller back and forth to keep Sam asleep is working...
but tomorrow may be entirely different.
I am realizing that routines are over rated and learning to be okay with that new phenomenon.
Adapt and go with flow!
I hope you all have a great week and enjoy the day whatever that may mean for you!

Gift Show Recap
Happy Monday!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
We finished the Seattle Gift Show last Tuesday which was great!
The show size in general has become smaller over the years but it was great to connect with other exhibitors, make contacts, and expand my products to more stores!
It was also a nice change of pace to get dressed up and be in a business setting...
though I sure missed little Sam by the end of each day!

Are you following me on Instagram?
If not, I just posted last week about a giveaway I am a part of!
A few friends of mine and I are doing a girly giveaway that is over $150 in value.
It goes until August 26th so you still have time to enter!
Go to the original post on my instagram (@lindsaypdesigns) and follow the steps to enter!

Update and New Product!
I hope everyone is having a great week!
I'm jumping right back in as i've taken a couple months off from blogging.
It amazes me how quickly time passes when there is a little (ok maybe not so little since he's almost 8 months!!) baby beside you.
He just is so cute I can't seem to take my eyes off his growing little self!
Prep work is under way for the Seattle Gift Show and I'm so excited.
The show begins this Saturday and goes until Tuesday.
If you are a buyer and plan on attending, come say hello at booth #1433!
I've recently added more cards to the website including these Seattle cards.
It seemed only fitting to have these available for the show.
I'm so excited to share my newest product I now have available.
I've had inquiries about the card designs in larger print for wall art...
So after playing around with many ideas and designs...
the Wood Signs are now available for purchase!
Signs are 8x10 fabric designs mounted on 9 1/4x12 stained wood
Every card design is available in sign form...just specify your desired design in the comments at checkout.
I will be sharing more pictures of the signs and also the Seattle Gift Show on Instagram so be sure to follow me (@lindsaypdesigns)
Hope you all have a great rest of the week!

Jenny Cookies
Last Thursday, I attend the Jenny cookies workshop along with my mom, sisters and grandma as a post Mother's Day treat.
It was such a fun event and I was thrilled to be a sponsor!
I am even more excited that she wore a Lindsay P Designs apron during the event!!
The tables were filled with goodies and decorated beautifully--each with a different theme.
Each guest received a beautiful gift box with fun treats including Lindsay P Designs cards.
If you haven't been to the Jenny cookies website I highly suggest you go...
She also has a cookbook out called, Eat More Dessert.
You will not be disappointed with this book...
It is loaded with recipes for delicious cookies, cakes, cupcakes and more...ideas of how to have a themed party...and beautiful photos of it all!
Hope everyone has a great week!
