Nighttime
As a new mom, one of the most common things I am asked is...
How have you been sleeping?
How has the baby been sleeping?
or if I'm just exhausted.
It was the piece of advice I heard most while pregnant too...
"Enjoy sleeping and get as much sleep as you can now before baby comes!"
.....

I'll be honest...the first couple nights at home were rough.
All three of us were learning which meant pulling a couple solid "all nighters".
I found myself slightly dreading nighttime at first...
Unsure what it would look like, how many times I would be getting up, or counting the minutes or hours I would actually be able to sleep.
.....
But I have changed my mindset and have
quickly learned to enjoy these sweet, quiet moments.
When the only thing I need to be doing is be with little Sam.
It's in those wee hours of the night where I have time to
reflect and think without a single distraction.
.....
I know these moments won't last forever and I will soon miss them.
It's all part of the job which I feel blessed to have.
.....
I hope everyone is having a good week!

New Non-Profit Organization!

It was a fun day yesterday seeing the Seahawks win their game
with just a couple minutes left to go.
What an exciting come back it was!
I have a feeling Seattle fans will be re-living and talking about this
particular game for years to come.
.....
Amidst the craziness of the new year, I had yet to share the next non profit to receive
10% of the profit from all card and apron sales at Lindsay P Designs.
This is a local nonprofit organization developed at the
Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research,
providing a new way of fighting cancer through immunotherapy.
Significant results have been shown just weeks after.
Such an amazing feat to fighting childhood cancer!
Visit their website to learn more!
.....
Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Decorating with Flowers
Growing up, I remember very few days where we didn't have fresh flowers on the table or sitting on top of the piano.
My mom loved and still loves flowers and the beauty it adds to the home.
It is something she has passed down to all three of us girls.
I don't think there ever needs to be a special occasion to have fresh flowers in your home.

I love how something so simple can add such an element of prettiness.
.....

I recently received this book from one of my sweet friends that I am so excited about!
Each page is loaded with arrangements,
beautiful flowers,
and ways to decorate with them.
With flowers for different themes and occasions...
This book is already getting me so excited for Spring time!
If you are like my family and love flowers...
I highly recommend getting this book...
Even if it is just to look at all of the pretty pictures!
I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Hello!
I'm back after a long break of the holidays and having our sweet little baby, Sam!
I can't begin to describe how in love I am with this little guy.
He has brought so much joy, excitement, and change to our lives.

We have learned to adapt with each day and to limit our expectations...
actually, to throw expectations out the window.
.....
Before any major event, we all have expectations of what we think life will be like.
I've found in this short amount of time that it is okay to be completely wrong.
That it is better to take one day at a time and to focus on what's unfolding right in front of you instead of how you thought things would be.
"Going with the flow" has become the new normal and I am okay with that!
.....
As I think about this new year and new chapter of my life,
I'm excited to see what each day, week and month brings.
From how I grow as a wife, mommy and business owner,
to the ways little Sam will change with each day.
Things will look different.
But different isn't a bad thing.
Being able to change, grow and adapt are all elements of life and I can't wait to see how things play out.
Happy Monday everyone!
