Girls Weekend

This past weekend, 3 of my best friends came up to visit.

We had such a fun weekend catching up, galavanting around town

 and talking wedding talk for my newly engaged friend:)

(And not to mention  it was the perfect excuse to clean and get the house in order!)

.....

We made a delicious dinner Saturday night... 

Pesto risotto with leeks and Italian chicken sausage. 

It was great!

The pesto was made using kale, basil and slivered almonds. 

A couple pinches of salt and pepper, the juice of half a lemon

 and about 1/2-3/4 cup olive oil.. 

(depending on the thickness you want and the amount you are trying to make)

..... 

I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends!
